Fieldwork
I have done extensive field research in Latin America and the Middle East. In Colombia, I interviewed 121 ex-combatants and former commanders following the 2016 Peace Agreement with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). In 2021-2022, I engaged in participation observation in border regions of Catatumbo, Pacifico Nariñense, and Urabá to understand the complexities of post-conflict violence reduction and interviewed 51 social leaders involved in peacebuilding projects. This page includes images of these informative experiences.
